A man faces evidence tampering charges after he tried to eat evidence against him during a traffic stop.The suspect, William Cordell Miller, 27, is charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence. He will face a hearing on the charges next month.Miller was stopped by McMinnville Police Sgt. Ben Cantrell, who knew there was an outstanding warrant for violation of probation against Miller. The suspect drove slowly for a while until he pulled over in a parking lot on Faulkner Springs Road.“He appeared to be eating something and he would not open his mouth,” Cantrell observed, noting he ordered the suspect to spit out what he had in his mouth.
