Grabbing the groin of a police officer who was trying to break up a barroom brawl will cost a man a month in jail.The brawler, Damian Vega, 23, entered guilty pleas before General Sessions Judge Larry Ross to charges of assault on an officer and resisting arrest. He was ordered to serve 30 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $613.His sentence comes for grabbing the groin of McMinnville police officer Kenneth Seagraves who was responding to a fight at El-Ray Club located at Sunnyside Heights. The officer said he actually saw Vega engaged in a fight when he arrived.“I saw Mr. Vega assault another person,” Seagraves swore in the warrant against Vega.
