LuckyFest will be held this Saturday, June 7. Rev up your engines for a day of wholesome family fun and the second annual Truck Tug-O-War Competition.
“The tug-o-war was a big hit last year,” said Lucky CIC member Diane Adcock. “Everyone seemed to enjoy it. We are expecting it to be even bigger and better this year.”
This year’s tug-o-war begins at 4 p.m., with registration for entries beginning at 2 p.m. Competition is open to street-legal trucks only with both gasoline and diesel classes available. The winners in those two classes compete against each other to determine Best All Around Truck. Drivers must be 18 years old or accompanied by parent or guardian. Proof of license, insurance and vehicle registration must be provided.
In the inaugural tug-o-war, Joe Jones was named best in the gasoline class and Jeff Womack was named best in the diesel class. When Jones was pitted against Womack in the final competition, Jones took Best All Around Truck.
LuckyFest also offers:
• A 5K Fun Run that begins at 8 a.m.
• Pageants for infants through teens. Pageants begin at 10 a.m. with the infants. Registration ends at 9:30 a.m. The pageants are open to all children in Warren County. Lauren Ashley Brown is the reigning Miss Lucky 2013.
• Kid’s games all day.
• Vendors with food and other items.
• Live entertainment.
