A McMinnville woman vacationing in Panama City, Fla., was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning.
According to the Panama City Beach Police Department, Teresa Tanner, 51, of McMinnville was struck and killed by a motorcycle at 2:17 a.m. Saturday morning.
Tanner was reportedly using the pedestrian crosswalk in front of Origins at Seahaven, located at 15100 Front Beach Road. Witnesses reported seeing two motorcycles traveling at high speeds on that road just before and after the crash. An eyewitness said Tanner was struck by one of the motorcycles.
She was found lying in the median and died at the scene.
Neither motorcycle stopped. Police are asking anyone with information to call (850) 233-5000.
It's the second time in recent years a local resident has been killed on vacation in Panama City. A 22-year-old fell from a 10th-floor balcony in 2013.
