A woman who threw her car into reverse and ran from the law has been sentenced to 15 days in jail. The woman, Candy Nicole Redmon, 39, entered guilty pleas before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to charges of evading arrest and driving on a revoked license. She was directed to serve 15 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $50 plus costs. Her charges came after police initiated a traffic stop at Village Market. McMinnville policeman Bryan Holt said he collected the woman’s license and went back to his car to check on it since she admitted it may be revoked.“I observed her place her vehicle in reverse and leave the scene,” the officer said, noting he returned to his car and gave chase.
