State Rep. John Mark Windle is scheduled to be the featured speaker Monday morning at Warren County Memorial Airport for the community’s Memorial Day ceremony beginning at 7 a.m.Windle serves the 41st District in the Tennessee General Assembly. The district includes Jackson, Overton, Morgan and Fentress counties.Windle is also a lieutenant colonel with Tennessee’s 278th Armored Calvary Regiment. He returned from his third tour of duty in August 2010 from the Balkans and Middle East.“Serving as a guardsman has given me a greater appreciation of the many freedoms we enjoy in Tennessee and the United States and of the importance of defending those freedoms,” said Windle, a Democrat.
