Vinson’s Crossroads FCEC met on Jan. 25 in the Magnolia Room. The meeting was called to order by President Frances Hobbs and introduced guests Dale McDaniel, Susan Barnes, Paula Barnes, Mary Rubley, Betty Whitlock and Martha McBride. The devotional was given by Alda Bandy who read Matthew 6:19-20, and Lori Yates led the prayer. Hobbs led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. 

Roll call was answered with the statement “When I say tree, you say _______,” with 16 members and six guests. Treasurer Becky Phillips gave the financial report.

Global leader training was attended by Alda Bandy and Diane Grove. Information was shared about International Day that will be held in May. Naomi Smith gave a reading report.

There was discussion as to what members will bring to Visitation Day on March 13. We also discussed the meal we will provide on A&R Day on April 12. Phillips reminded members she will be collecting can tabs on A&R Day. The March Crafting Then & Now will be March 5 on Quilting 101.

Our next meeting will be held Feb. 15. The meeting was adjourned after the Club Creed was read.
