Taco Bell, The Coffee Cat and a building on the Civic Center property were burglarized early Tuesday morning with police investigators reportedly hot on the trail.
“We do have a couple of suspects,” said McMinnville Police detective Eddie Colwell. “Right now we’re not releasing what has been stolen.”
Police say the timeline for the three burglaries was between 3 and 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. The thief, or thieves, were able to break into all three locked buildings with Colwell saying there is surveillance video that has been analyzed.
At The Coffee Cat, which is located in the parking lot of Northgate Center, a lock was broken on a window. Among the clues left behind inside the building was a cigarette butt. It was noted the cigarette had to be left by the burglar since no one at the business smokes.
An outbuilding at the Civic Center complex was also targeted and thieves were able to gain entry.
