In addition to music and food, there’s a new twist to Relay for Life this year – blood.Relay for Life, now in its 14th year in Warren County, kicks off tonight at 5 p.m. at Nunley Stadium.For those looking to take a break from walking around the track, Blood Assurance will be on hand seeking blood donations. Blood Assurance is the sole blood supplier for Saint Thomas River Park.“Because so many cancer patients us blood products during treatment, we are holding this blood drive,” said Blood Assurance representative Lori Love. “Oftentimes cancer patients receive red blood cells, plasma, and platelets during different stages of treatment.
