Dozens of kayakers are expected to assemble at Pepper Branch Park on Saturday, June 23, for Paddlefest. On-site registration begins at 9 a.m., followed by the race at 10 a.m., and the float at 10:30 a.m.
The wettest and wildest fundraiser of them all is less than two weeks away. Paddlefest has been set for Saturday, June 23, offering participants the excitement of either floating, or racing down, the river in a kayak. The event starts at Pepper Branch Park and meanders down the Barren Fork River, a trip that combines peaceful water with occasional rapids.
