A man faces child endangerment charges after police discovered he had left drugs within arm’s reach of several children who were at his McGee Street residence. The man, Brad R. Bauer, 39, will answer to the child endangerment charge when he appears before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on Dec. 5.McMinnville policeman Joseph Butler said the discovery stemmed from their escort of a Department of Children’s Service agent who was doing a welfare check on children at the residence. Police were granted permission to enter the house to check on the safety of the children and quickly found signs of drug use.“After going inside, I observed numerous people,” the officer said. “In plain view were a set of digital scales, a grinder and a blue container.”Butler said inside the blue container was a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.“There were multiple children in the residence,” Butler said.
