Halloween walk to promote health

Taking a walk can be good for your health -- scary, too.
McMinnville Mayor Jimmy Haley is offering a Halloween walk this Saturday, Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. Costumes are encouraged. It begins at First Methodist Church and is open to all ages.
“I will do another Mayor’s Fitness Walk to promote the Wellness Program,” said Haley. “It will have a Halloween theme so I am asking people to come in costume. We will end up at Riverside Cemetery at the end of the walk for a tour.”
The walks are part of the Governor’s Foundation for Health and Wellness. Warren County is striving to become a healthier community and this walk is just one element.
