Sentences were handed down by Judge Bill Locke in General Sessions Trial Court this past week.
Included in court action:
Lorrie M. Bynum was bound to the grand jury on the charge of initiating the process to manufacture meth.
Willard Childers was bound to the grand jury on the charge of grand theft.
Brenda G. Clouse was bound to the grand jury on the charge of grand theft.
Michael Vincent Lance was bound to the grand jury on the charge of initiating the process to manufacture meth.
Jeremy Lynn Williams was granted an 11-month, 29-day judicial diversion and must pay $1,492 for possession of meth. The diversion means he can have his criminal record erased at the end of his probationary period.
Joseph Franklin Cox Jr. was granted an 11-29 judicial diversion and must pay $1,897 for theft.
Christopher Ivan Yannayon was granted an 11-29 judicial diversion and must pay $992 for simple possession of marijuana.
Herbert Paul Conley was placed on probation for six months and must pay $872 for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mark Allen Brewington must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.
Jacki Lynn Dewey was directed to serve 48 hours and have probation extended by six months for violation of probation.
Natasha Jade Burks Ferrell must serve 10 days for violation of probation.
Ricky Allen Harper had his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.
Veronica D. Martin must serve 60 days and have her probation extended by one year for violation of probation.
Glen Ray Wright must serve 120 days for violation of probation. He was also bound to the grand jury on the charge of possession of marijuana.
Jeffery L. Tigue must serve 45 days and had his probation extended by a year for violation of probation.
Joshua W. Taylor was ordered to serve 48 hours and pay $1,138 for violation of probation.

Local talent heads to Park

The next installment of The Park Theater’s Local Connection Concert Series is set to take center stage this Saturday, April 5 with Tito Gomez.

The Local Connection Concert Series put on The Park Theater focuses on talent sourced from the community. Gomez began his music career 14 years ago with a local band and has since released his solo album, “Lo Que Habia Soñado,” in 2016. He was born in Los Angeles, California but is well-known in the Warren County community as Victor Gomez.

Saturday night’s show will entail the singer-songwriter’s regional Mexican music, such as “El Oscar” or “Soy Edgar,” which is Gomez’s most popular song on Spotify.

The show begins at 7 p.m. and is expected to last approximately two hours. General admission is $15 and tickets can be purchased on Park Theater’s website, mcminnvilleparktheater.com, by phone at (931) 506-2787 or at its box office during normal business hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. If available, a limited number of tickets may be purchased at the door on the day of the event, while supplies last.
