A man who destroyed most of his girlfriend’s possessions on his way out the door has been sentenced to 60 days in jail and must make restitution for the damage he left behind.
The boyfriend, Kevin Lee Fralix, 44, entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge of misdemeanor vandalism and was directed to serve 60 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence. He will also be required to make $2,700 restitution.
The vandalism happened after his girlfriend broke up with him by text message after they had an argument.
“She sent him a text advising him that the relationship was over,” revealed sheriff’s investigator Jason Rowland.
When she returned home, she discovered Fralix had left but before he had, he took time to destroy most of her possessions.
“All of her dishes, the kitchen table, shelves and cabinets, vent hood for the stove, three TVs, the cable box, desktop computer, three laptop computers, the cordless phone, stereo system, gaming systems, and microwave, to name a few, were destroyed,” the investigator noted of the mass destruction.
Fralix will be required to pay his girlfriend back for the damage as part of the terms of his probation.
