Boyd Christian School is looking to put $6,000 in the books this Saturday, Oct. 28, at Kidd Ford.
The dealership on Manchester Highway will be the site for a Drive 4UR School event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For every test drive taken, Kidd Ford will donate $20 to Boyd Christian, up to $6,000.
“We’re always pleased to help the community,” said Terry Kidd, owner of Kidd Ford. “I’m a big supporter of education and $6,000 will be a big help to Boyd. It will be nice to get people acquainted with the new Fords and we will have all the latest Ford cars, trucks and SUVs available to test drive.”
The 2018 models are already in stock at Kidd Ford. That includes the Escape, a smaller SUV which has been a huge seller. Pickups are always popular at Kidd Ford, along with the comfortable Edge.
Drive 4UR School events are touted as a great way to make a monetary donation without having to dig into your wallet. Ford makes the donation. All you have to do is take the time for a test drive.
If 300 participants come out to take a test drive, Kidd Ford will be able to make the maximum $6,000 donation. Only one test drive can be counted per address so a couple looking to take two test drives will need to have two current addresses.
Since launching in December 2007, thousands of Drive 4UR School events have taken place nationwide, raising more than $35 million in support of extracurricular and sporting activities, according to Ford. Dozens of those events have been conducted locally through Kidd Ford.
