Window displays are a vital marketing tool for retail stores. For McMinnville Florist, it’s a tradition.

“Our windows are a reflection of what’s inside and of the talent that’s inside,” said Mike Satterfield, owner of McMinnville Florist. “I’ve very blessed to be able to do what I do. God has blessed me for 34 years to be able to do something that I love to do. The one thing that I love to do is not necessarily the flowers. It’s getting to be in contact with my customers and becoming friends with them. It’s a people thing. I love it.”

McMinnville Florist decorates its windows seasonally and for every holiday. Its fall display received the You Caught My Eye Award from Main Street McMinnville’s Design Committee.

According to Design Committee members, they appreciate how the business adds to the beauty of downtown with its engaging and creative storefront displays. Located on the corner of Court Square and Morford Street, it also engages the interest of passersby to draw visitors into downtown.

“This vote was unanimous,” said Design Committee member Jeff Golden. “That’s important because our votes are seldom unanimous.”

Design Committee member Rachel Killebrew added, “McMinnville Florist’s window display is always beautiful. It’s a wonderful addition to downtown.”

You Caught My Eye is just one of the awards given by Main Street McMinnville to recognize the hard work and dedication of downtown business owners.
