Dr. Grundstrom gives out-of-this-world speech
Dr. Erika Grundstrom shows the McMinnville Rotary Club a picture of the pair of stars known as Wolf-Rayet 140 (WR 140). The star pair creates a "fingerprint" effect which is caused by their orbit around each other. Dr. G said, “There are seventeen shells of dust. It is 130 years of interactions of these two stars shown in just this one image.”
