Free COVID-19 testing at Warren County Health Department continues to draw a crowd, but a smaller one than in the past month.
According to Health Department records, the department administered 2,234 coronavirus tests in July. That number was 804 in June and 1,511 in August.
“During the month of August, the department provided between approximately 75 COVID-19 tests each day,” said Warren County Health Department director Andrea Fox. “We are currently doing testing Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.”
A monthly report was provided to members of the county Health and Welfare Committee.
“I know the department has been busy, as always, but also adapting to what we are going through with COVID-19,” said Commissioner Blaine Wilcher. “We appreciate everything everyone is doing out there.”
Fox replied, “Thank you.”
“Make sure everyone out there knows this committee is very appreciative of what they do,” said Wilcher. “I think that goes for all the commissioners.”
Health and Welfare Committee members unanimously accepted the monthly report from Warren County Health Department.
The meeting was held online via Zoom.
