It’s down to the wire in qualifying for the open 5th District County Commission seat as the deadline falls at noon this Friday.The position is currently being held by Tyrone Sparkman who was appointed to fill the seat last month by the Warren County Commission. The election is in August. The office came open after incumbent Melissa Yancy resigned her post earlier this year.
