Santa Claus is making his rounds, checking his list of good little boys and girls. One of his visits in McMinnville will come with free family photos with the Jolly Old Man.

Central Church of Christ will be hosting Santa and Mrs. Claus Saturday, 9 to 11 a.m., in the fellowship hall, where pictures can be made with the red-suited celebrities, complete with a Christmas wonderland as a picturesque backdrop.

Church volunteers will also be serving pancakes free to families while they’re in the building for the photo sessions.

“This is one more way we connect with the whole community. It’s our way of helping families celebrate the season while creating photographic keepsakes that that they will treasure far into the future,” said Alan Henegar, one of the church’s elders.

“We warmly welcome everyone, not just church members, but all those who feel a special uplift at this time of the year,” he emphasized.

Visitors are asked to enter the Central education building through the double glass doors facing College Street, opposite High Funeral Home’s parking lot.  No appointment is necessary.

Upon entering the family and photo subjects will be asked to register, giving an email address where the high-quality photos can be sent within a few days of the event, known traditionally as Snacks with Santa.
