A wreck in Morrison left no one injured Thursday afternoon.

Morrison resident Joanne Oconnell, 57, was driving a blue 2014 Nissan Altima and was stopped on Mt. View Industrial Drive at the intersection of Old Wells Road. Oconnell’s granddaughter was in the car as well.

McMinnville resident Darrell Black, 42, was driving a 2014 Chevy Bolt heading toward Manchester Hwy. on Old Wells Road. According to Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper Ben Cannon, Oconnell attempted to turn left onto Old Wells Road as Black approached the intersection.

Black attempted to turn right onto Mt. View Industrial Drive to avoid the collision but struck the side of Oconnell’s vehicle. Both vehicles stopped facing opposite directions parallel to Mt. View Industrial Road.

EMS arrived at the scene, but all parties refused medical treatment as none were seriously injured. Oconnell was cited for failure to yield the right of way, and Black was cited for not wearing a seatbelt. The wreck happened a little bit before 3 p.m. on Thursday.
