Christmas parade theme announced
This years theme is Christmas in Toyland.

It promises to be a playful McMinnville Christmas Parade. This year’s theme is Christmas in Toyland.
“We’ve decided to make it Christmas in Toyland,” said Kendra Foust, McMinnville Parks and Recreation program coordinator. “People can use their imagination. It can be any toy, toy-related movie, book or story. Have fun with it.”
Toys can be past or present, and any toy will do, including wooden soldiers, rocking horses, building blocks, bears, dolls, Raggedy Ann and Andy, Rubik’s Cube, jack-in-the-box, slinky, and more.
The parade is slated for Saturday, Dec. 3. Lineup begins at noon at McMinnville Civic Center. The parade begins at 2:30 p.m. and runs its traditional route down Main Street.
Entries will be vying for numerous prizes including the coveted People’s Choice Award. Last year’s winner was The Redemption Center with its unique blend of “A Christmas Story” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” float.
The deadline to enter is Nov. 25. No entry forms will be accepted after deadline or the day of the parade. Entry forms can be picked up and submitted at McMinnville Civic Center.
