Along with having a brand new look, the Jeremy Brown Memorial Gym at Bobby Ray School will also have a new scoreboard. The Warren County Board of Education voted unanimously to fund a new scoreboard for the heavily used gym in an amount estimated to be around $4,000. That price will cover buying the new scoreboard and installing it in the newly renovated gym. The gym at Bobby Ray is not only used for school activities but is also used by the hundreds of local youths who participate in Jaycee Basketball each year.Meanwhile, the old scoreboard that has hung in Jeremy Brown Gym will be put to good use as it will be given to the high school where it will be used in the auxiliary gym.“They sometimes have games there so they were in need of a scoreboard,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox, noting the old scoreboard technically belonged to the Dr Pepper Bottling Company but owner Doug Milner gave his blessing for the school to have the scoreboard.
