BLC to hold benefit for Stevana Bouldin

A walk and auction for a good cause is taking place tomorrow, Sept. 21, for a McMinnville resident battling cancer.

Stevana Bouldin was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and her Ben Lomand Connect (BLC) family has stepped in to offer support. “Steps for Stevana” is a benefit to raise much-needed funds to go toward the cost of Bouldin’s healthcare.

“'Steps for Stevana' was born out of employees from all offices wanting to do something to help her and her fight against cancer. That is both a testament to our BLC family members and also the type of quality person and employee Stevana is,” said BLC General Manager and CEO Greg Smartt. “When life happens and tries to bring one of us down it's up to the rest of our BLC family members to help carry them forward. Just like the arm bands say: her fight is our fight.’”

The event, held at the Warren County Fairgrounds, will entail a walk beginning at 4 p.m. and a cornhole tournament at 6 p.m. Food and craft vendors will be on the premises and an auction featuring a wide variety of items is scheduled to take place as well.

While the the event is free to attend, the walk has a $40 registration fee which includes a T-shirt and the two-man cornhole team fee is $50. Those interested are asked to call Donette Freeman at (931) 668-4131 for scheduling purposes. Entrants for the walk can preregister at runsignup.com/Race?raceId=169139.
