A woman faces charges after she burglarized a car in a church parking lot while the victim was attending Sunday morning services and then went across the street and used the victim’s stolen credit card.The alleged thief, Amanda Gale Crook, 28, has been indicted on charges of auto burglary and fraudulent use of a credit card.She was caught thanks to surveillance footage, helpful store clerks, and an observant policeman.“The victim left church to find her unlocked car had been burglarized,” said McMinnville police officer Stephen Daniels, noting the break-in happened in the parking lot of East End Church of Christ on Sparta Street. “She checked her account balance and found her debit card had been used at the Dollar Store, located across the road from the church, in the amount of $94.”Stephens had Dollar General pull its footage for around the time of the burglary and saw Crook and another woman shopping together. Clerks at the store confirmed the account number on the card used by Crook was the same as the stolen card.
