The McMinnville Jaycees are asking for help in designing their T-shirts for the upcoming Warren County A&L Fair. The contest for ages 5-12 could net a the winning preteen $50.
“We cannot decide what to put on the front of our fair shirts we wear while we work in our food booth,” said Holly McBride, Jaycee vice president. “We were throwing out ideas during a meeting and this one came up. We decided the children of Warren County should decide for us.”
The Jaycees design new shirts for members to wear at the food booth each year. Last year’s shirt was designed around the theme “Peace and Fair Grease.” This year’s theme is “Fun at the Fair.”
McMinnville Jaycees’ main goal throughout the year is to help children. McBride said they combined the two with hopes of solving this problem.
“We thought this would be something outside our usual projects to get the kids of Warren County involved,” she said. “We loved this idea.”
The winner of the contest will receive a $50 gift card and have their artwork printed on McMinnville Jaycees’ shirts. Also, they will receive one of the shirts.
All artwork submitted will be laminated and hung around the Jaycees’ food booth during the fair. They can be picked up during that time.
