Road Superintendent Levie Glenn has asked members of the county’s Financial Management Committee to allow his department to sell surplus equipment at a local auction instead of listing the items online.“I would like to give local people a chance to buy if they are interested,” said Glenn. “By putting these items in a local auction, local residents will have a chance to bid. I would like them to go to local people, if they want them.”The committee has previously placed surplus items online at www.govdeals.com.
