Helping Hands Ministry will be offering a mobile food giveaway Saturday in Smartt Station at 539 Gillespie Road beginning at 9 a.m.The giveaway is open to anyone in need of food.“We received a grant through Second Harvest Food Bank to purchase the food,” said Helping Hands Ministry president Tammy Comfort. “We are going to give it away until it’s gone.”This is the second mobile food giveaway the organization has held this year, not counting its monthly food distributions for individuals who apply for assistance through Helping Hands Ministry. “Each month we offer boxes of food to individuals who are enrolled in the program and meet the guidelines,” said Comfort.
