A 56-person docket was heard Tuesday by Judge Bill Locke in General Sessions Court. Included in court action:
• John David Smartt waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound to the grand jury on the charge of rape of a child. He is charged with inappropriate behavior with a minor which took place as far back as 1999 in what investigators say was a long-standing pattern of abuse.
• Terrence D. Martin was bound to the grand jury on charges of introduction of drugs into the county jail and possession of drugs. He must serve 15 days for violation of probation.
• Dana Kennedy was directed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, perform 25 hours public service work and must stay out of Walmart for theft.
• Bobby Hudson was bound to the grand jury on the charge of reckless endangerment.
• Zachery Green was bound to the grand jury on charges of burglary and grand theft.
• Timothy Morton was instructed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $250 plus costs and perform 25 hours public service work for simple possession of marijuana.
• Alycia Hankey was ordered to serve 32 days of an 11-29 sentence and perform 25 hours public service work for theft and violation of probation.
• Kelly S. Cowell granted an 11-29 judicial diversion and must pay $750 plus costs and perform 25 hours public service work for simple possession of drugs.
• Justin Gilbert was granted an 11-29 judicial diversion and must make $654 restitution, perform 25 hours public service work, get his GED and get a job for illegal use of a credit card.
• Hunter L. Adams was granted a six-month judicial diversion and must pay $250 plus costs for simple possession of marijuana.
• Joey Pickle must pay $50 plus costs and perform 16 hours public service work for underage consumption of alcohol.
• Joseph Carroll II was directed to pay $50 plus costs, perform 16 hours public service work and perform 24 hours public service work for underage consumption of alcohol.
• Forest Egerton must pay $10 plus costs for public intoxication.
• Michael Neu must pay $10 plus costs for allowing dogs to run at large. He is to keep his dogs contained.
• Clara Garrett must serve five days for violation of probation.
• John Lillard Jr., must serve 30 days for violation of probation.
• Damon Grove must serve 48 hours for violation of probation.
• Angela Craven had her probation extended by six months for violation of probation.
• Phillip York must serve 45 days for violation of probation.
• Kenny Scott must serve 60 days for violation of probation.
• Amanda Cox Dunn must serve 10 days and have her probation extended by six months for violation of probation.
• Steve Frame had his probation extended by one year for violation of probation.
• Raven McKinley must serve 45 days and have probation extended by six months for violation of probation.
