BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts officials are set to release preliminary findings of an investigation into the death of a 36-year-old woman whose body went unnoticed for more than two days at the bottom of a state-run swimming pool. The state Department and Conservation and Recreation, which oversees state-run pools, scheduled a news conference for late Wednesday morning. Marie Joseph apparently drowned accidentally while swimming in the cloudy waters of a Fall River pool on June 26.
