Female burglars given 10 years

Two female burglars were sentenced to 10 years in prison for a string of break-ins around the county.The women, Toshia D. Thomas, 33, and Amanda M. Collins, 36, each entered guilty pleas to 10 counts of burglary and aggravated burglary and were given 10-year sentences by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley. They will also both be liable for paying $18,014 in restitution.Their prison time comes after they went on a burglary spree throughout the county, breaking into houses in almost every community in Warren County.According to Sheriff Jackie Matheny, their method of operation was simple. The women would go up to houses where the residents were not at home and kick in the door or break a window to gain entry.
