A measure to change the city of McMinnville’s longevity pay policy to be more favorable to retiring employees has failed to pass the full board on first read. Immediately following the reading of the measure into the minutes by Mayor Jimmy Haley, Alderman Ken Smith made a motion to approve it. No other comments were made and the motion failed due to lack of a second.
