Sentences were handed down against several people by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley on narcotics charges. Included in court action:
Cory M. Biles was ordered to serve four years in state prison and pay $2,000 plus costs for promoting the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Gary Wayne Tate was given a four-year sentence and must pay $2,000 plus costs for promoting the manufacture of meth.
Eric Jonathan Comfort was ordered to serve 180 days of an eight-year sentence, undergo a drug and alcohol assessment, and pay $2,000 plus costs for possession of meth and Oxycodone.
James Allen Webb was ordered to serve 180 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $2,750 plus costs for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
Lacey Ruth Evans was directed to serve 120 days of a four-year sentence and pay $2,000 plus costs for delivery of drugs.
Dessie Dean Sweeney was instructed to serve 30 days of an eight-year sentence and pay $750 plus costs for casual exchange of meth.
Ryan Anderson was directed to serve 60 days of an 11-29 sentence and must pay $2,000 plus costs for simple possession of marijuana.
Tristan Sons was instructed to serve five days of an 11-29 sentence, perform 40 hours public service work, pay $400 plus costs and lose driving privileges for one year for DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jerry Michael Lee Jr., was granted a three-year judicial diversion and must pay $2,000 plus costs and perform 50 hours public service work for possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

Local talent heads to Park

The next installment of The Park Theater’s Local Connection Concert Series is set to take center stage this Saturday, April 5 with Tito Gomez.

The Local Connection Concert Series put on The Park Theater focuses on talent sourced from the community. Gomez began his music career 14 years ago with a local band and has since released his solo album, “Lo Que Habia Soñado,” in 2016. He was born in Los Angeles, California but is well-known in the Warren County community as Victor Gomez.

Saturday night’s show will entail the singer-songwriter’s regional Mexican music, such as “El Oscar” or “Soy Edgar,” which is Gomez’s most popular song on Spotify.

The show begins at 7 p.m. and is expected to last approximately two hours. General admission is $15 and tickets can be purchased on Park Theater’s website, mcminnvilleparktheater.com, by phone at (931) 506-2787 or at its box office during normal business hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. If available, a limited number of tickets may be purchased at the door on the day of the event, while supplies last.
