Christmas break cut short for some

The holiday break won’t be quite as long as expected for some employees with the Warren County School System.A policy enacted in February by the Board of Education only gives certain workers Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. They will be required to report to work the other days this week while school is in recess for Christmas break.“This is a management decision to make sure we’re in line with school policy,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox, who acknowledged the decision is not a popular one for employees required to work. “If the School Board wants to change our policy to offer a greater benefit package to these employees, it’s something we can consider in the future.
