Officers duck under crime scene tape to enter a wooded area where a body was discovered Tuesday around 5 p.m.

Law enforcement officials have identified the body found Tuesday around 5 p.m. in the Mt. Leo area.

The deceased man has been identified as Derrick Biles, 59, of McMinnville. The family has been notified and the body sent for autopsy to determine cause of death.

Law enforcement officers responded Tuesday around 5 p.m. to a call of a dead body off Fults Lane, which is off Leesburg Road. At least eight law enforcement vehicles were in the area when the Standard arrived around 6 p.m. Officers were ducking under crime scene tape to go into a wooded area.

Officers have not indicated if they believe foul play was involved or if Mr. Biles died of natural causes.
