Dibrell's depth was on display once again Thursday night.
The Wildcats had 12 players score in a 58-6 victory over the Boyd Broncos, running Dibrell's winning streak to 12 games.
Dibrell, coming off a day game victory over DeKalb County Wednesday, saw Ty Heathcock come off the bench against the Broncos to score a game-high 10 points. In Dibrell's eight regular-season elementary games, Heathcock was the fifth different Wildcat to lead the team in scoring.
Coach Dustin Curtis has emphasized the importance of his bench all season. On Thursday, he was impressed with his Wildcats' ability to limit mistakes.
"I'm proud of my guys," said Curtis. "I asked them before the game to play a clean game, limit turnovers and take good shots. We have things to clean up if we want to accomplish the goals we set this season."
The Wildcats were dominant from tip-off, getting seven points each from Jordan Sandlin and Aaron Ashburn in the first quarter. Nathan Turner answered with a 3-pointer for Boyd, but it proved to be half of the Broncos' total on the night.
Heathcock began making his impact in the second quarter, scoring six points as Dibrell went into halftime up 28-6.
The home team was the only squad to score in the second half. Jeremy Boren did most of the damage, scoring all eight of his points after the break.
Nathan Elrod joined Ashburn and Sandlin with 7 points Thursday.
Matthew Young and Drathan Dixon added 4 points, while E.J. Orue had 3. Hagen Stewart, Cameron Chilcutt, Johnnie Fults and Harold Ganoa had 2 points each.
Avery Lawrence scored 2 points for Boyd, while Gage Harris hit a free throw in the first quarter.
Dibrell will travel to Irving College Monday while Boyd will play host to Morrison. Both games are slated to start at 7 p.m.
