Warren County Middle School dominated Prescott Middle School in a match Tuesday afternoon.
With scores of 25-15 and 25-11, the Lady Pioneers are 7-0 on the season. Madison Hollis had six kills in the match to lead the Lady Pioneers.
“When everything is clicking for us we are a fun team to watch,” said WCMS coach Kelly Clayborne.

WCMS was able to jump out to a 13-10 lead off JuJu Pyburn’s service game. Madison Hollis was then able to move the lead to 17-11 with more service points. Then to win the set, the Lady Pioneers had several key kills by Danika Reno and Hollis that gave WCMS momentum. The Lady Pioneers closed out the set, 25-15.
In the second set, Prescott didn’t have an answer for the strong serves of the Lady Pioneers. Mea Starkey was able to serve six straight to give WCMS a comfortable lead, 12-6.
Hollis and Reno had strong net play in this set as Hollis was able to pick up a big block for the Lady Pioneers. WCMS will be back in action at home against Franklin North on Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.
