Warren County Middle School’s Lady Pioneers blanked Franklin South in both sides of a doubleheader Saturday, winning 17-0 and 15-0, scoring the entire lineup, some more than once, in the wins.
“It was a good experience for our sixth-graders as everybody played varsity and everybody got at least two at-bats in a varsity game,” said WCMS coach Marc Pyburn.
It was a tough process for Franklin South on offense. The team went out 1-2-3 in all three innings in both contests. Meanwhile, WCMS ran its lineup in the first inning in both contests.
Scoring for the Lady Pioneers were Samantha Jennings, Sadie Simmons, Ella Atterson, Rhealee Johnson, Kadence Ledbetter, Kaydee Rains, Taylor Swan, JuJu Pyburn, Danika Reno, Shelby Roberts, Mea Starkey, Halo Armstrong, Aleya Esparza, Marli McBride, Bella Cantrell, Cadi Beth Todd, Bella Bain, Alyssa Mosley, Mia Hobbs and Jessie Young.
The Lady Pioneers are scheduled for a home game for eighth-grade night Wednesday, weather permitting.
