WCMS girls fall victim to Gatorettes
Warren County Middle School basketball coach Isaiah Phillips takes a time-out opportunity to coach his team on objectives and performance.
North Middle School’s Gatorettes proved too much for the Warren County Middle School Lady Pioneers to handle Tuesday, as they lost in Winchester 51-23.The Gatorettes took a huge bite out of the Lady Pioneer chances in the first half, as they led 33-8 at the break. Although Warren County Middle School’s offense got better in the last two quarters, it was not enough by far to catch North Middle’s commanding lead. The Lady Pioneers did manage to spread the offense out with eight players scoring, led by Elia Atterson and Kamryn Nowlin with 4 points each. Also scoring for Warren County Middle School were Madalyn Stubblefield, Kaydee Rains, and Taylor Swan, all with 3 points, and Brooke Evans, Nautica Brown and Kadence Ledbetter with 2 points apiece. The Lady Pioneers play host to Tullahoma East on Nov. 7 beginning at 6 p.m.
