The Christian Warriors are showing last year’s Church League tournament championship in the Men’s A division was no fluke.The Warriors improved to 7-1 this season Monday night with a 20-10 win over Westwood, getting the team one step closer to clinching the regular-season title and No. 1 seed in the upcoming tournament.Jeff Ferguson played a big part in the victory for the Warriors. Ferguson proved to be an excellent clean-up hitter as he connected on two-run home runs in the first and sixth innings.Casey Pelham added a two-run home run that landed in the rock pile over the road behind Field 1 in the fifth inning, moving the Warriors home-run total this season to 10 in eight games.Westwood kept pace for three innings as the team used the long ball to its advantage.Kyle Thompson tied for the Church League home-run lead with his fifth home run this season, a three-run shot in the third inning.
