Team Woodbury continued its undefeated streak and cruised to a 70-40 victory Thursday night against Strawberry Inc., in men’s league basketball action at the Civic Center.
Woodbury built a huge lead to start the game and led 17-2 after the first quarter. Things would not get much better in the second quarter and Woodbury would have a commanding lead going into halftime, 38-14.
Jared Nave led the way for Woodbury in the first half with 16 points, and Jacob Melton would contribute nine. Devin Elliot would have 12 points for Strawberry Inc. in the first half. Things would not get better for Strawberry Inc., as they would watch Team Woodbury build its lead to 55-30 after the third quarter.
Woodbury would never let Strawberry Inc. get any closer, and would win the game 70-40 in a blowout.
The leading scorer for Team Woodbury was Nave with 24 points. Jacob Melton added 14 points and Jacob Nave contributed 13 points, in the dominating performance.
For Strawberry Inc., Devin Elliot poured in 16 points, and Jason Smith added 10 points.
