New Warren County High School football coach Scott Smith wants to bring the Pioneers back to the level of success the program enjoyed in the early 1980s. Now he has a staff of former Pioneers to help him.Smith announced his football staff Friday and it includes six people who have played and coached at Warren County High School in the past, most notably former WCHS coach Chris Madewell.Coach Smith wanted to have some locals help out and getting Madewell, along with Paul Martin, Greg Cotten, Adam Wood, Isaac Slatton and Andy Evans was a big step in securing some past Pioneers.“I think we have a great mixture of experience and youth. It is really good to have coaches with local ties that have lived here, played here and know the ins and outs of what the community is all about,” said Smith.
