TTU Caravan arrives Thursday

COOKEVILLE – Tennessee Tech’s Purple Pride Caravan makes a stop in McMinnville Thursday, Aug. 8, beginning at 5 p.m.The McMinnville visit is in the first week of the second half of a 10-stop caravan tour, which is reaching out into in communities around the region in anticipation of upcoming sports seasons. Each caravan is free and fans can enjoy hot dogs and Pepsi soft drinks, and sign up for a grand prize drawing.The Purple Pride Caravan stop will be at the McMinnville Walmart.Fans who visit the Purple Pride Caravans will have the opportunity to meet and talk with Tennessee Tech head coaches, enjoy hot dogs and Pepsi soft drinks, and sign up for a grand prize drawing.Each event will feature a tailgating atmosphere with coaches, cheerleaders and Tech mascot Awesome Eagle, and one lucky fan who registers during the Caravans will win a trip for two with the Golden Eagles to their Sept. 7 game at the University of Wisconsin.Sponsored by 98.5 Kiss FM, Pepsi, Wal-Mart and TTUsports.com, each Purple Pride Caravan event will last 98 minutes, beginning at 5 p.m. and running until 6:38 p.m.As a special feature, 98.5 Kiss FM (the home of Golden Eagle football broadcasts) will be registering people at each of the stops. One grand prize winner will receive a TTU/Wisconsin Flyaway Trip for two, including air travel, hotel accommodations, tickets to the game and meals.No winners will be selected below the age of 18.
