Nashville - Brittany Myers was named the American Midwest Conference golfer of the week, the league announced Monday, after she finished as the low medalist at the Battle at Big Creek last Monday and Tuesday in Mountain Home, Arkansas. This is the first weekly award of her career.

The senior was in third place after shooting a round-one 80, but jumped into first place after her round-two score of 74.

Myers is second in the AMC in scoring average, averaging just over a 77. She has six top-five finishes this year, as well as two individual wins.

The Lady Lions will compete in the AMC Tournament on April 29-30 at the Redfield Golf Club in Eugene, Missouri.
