With three teams fighting atop the standings in the girls 11-13-year-old senior league, every game has increased importance.The showcase game Thursday was two 4-2 teams matching up at 7:30 p.m. Kirby Real Estate made short work of Cash 4 U, winning 18-3 to keep pace in the standings.Kirby’s move to 5-2 was countered earlier in the night when McMinnville Aluminum and Vinyl Supplies defeated Mid TN Radiology 16-5.In the second game, Kirby Real Estate welcomed back star pitcher Brittany Myers, who had missed the previous game when the team lost to Mid TN Radiology 18-17.Myers was at her best in the circle and in the batters box. Myers struck out six batters in two innings to pick up the win and helped her cause with a 3-for-3 performance at the plate.Mackenzie Postumus added two hits for Kirby’s. Isabel Kirby, Rylee Hilliard, Jerica Heyward, Rylan Moore, Brittany McKinley and Ashlyn Patterson had one hit each.Candace Moore took the loss for Cash 4 U, which fell to 4-3.
