For the second straight year, the path to the District 6-AAA tournament championship in girls soccer will run through Warren County.The Lady Pioneers clinched the District 6-AAA regular-season championship and home field throughout the district tournament Tuesday night by defeating the Cookeville Lady Cavaliers 4-1 in front of a packed crowd at Warren County High School.It was a tale of two halves as Warren County went to halftime trailing 1-0, but flipped a switch in the second half and scored four unanswered goals to improve to 11-6 overall and 6-1 in District 6-AAA.The Lady Pioneers went to Cumberland County last night with a chance to win the championship outright, but the victory would merely be a formality as Warren County owns the tiebreaker over Cookeville should the two teams finish the regular season in a tie.
