The unbeaten Morrison Lady Eagles visited the Dibrell Lady Wildcats on Monday night and left with a 3-0 record.
The final score was 36-24. Monday’s game was originally scheduled to be the next to last regular season game for both teams. However, some teams have been in quarantine, forcing the regular season to be extended.
Morrison’s duo of Harmony Kennerly and Chloe Wanamaker were too much for Dibrell to handle. Dibrell played tough, but could not contain the scoring power of the Lady Eagles from Morrison. Top scorers for Dibrell were Anslee Crick and Jenna Mullins.
Dibrell’s coach Jessica Page was pleased with her team’s effort. Page said, “I am very proud of my girls who played so hard against Morrison. They have been working hard to improve as a team and I feel they showed that.”
Dibrell was scheduled to play Centertown last night, but Centertown is in quarantine. That game has been rescheduled for Nov. 19. Dibrell’s District 2 tournament was originally supposed to start this Saturday, but it has been rescheduled for Dec. 3 and Dec. 8 to accommodate postponed games due to teams being in COVID-19 quarantine.
