Lady Bulldogs blow by Boyd

The Eastside Lady Bulldogs didn’t score in the first half, but it didn’t keep them from moving on to the finals of the 3-pt Club preseason girls tournament.
The Lady Bulldogs scored all their points in the second half to beat the Boyd Lady Broncos 12-4 Monday night at Charlie Dalton Gym.
Not much action happened in the first half as the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Broncos went into halftime with the score 2-0 in favor of Boyd.
Kayla Taylor hit the only shot of the first half, connecting on a layup in the first quarter.
Coming out of halftime, Eastside didn’t take long to find the range it lacked in the first half.
Madison Parsley dominated the offensive glass for the Lady Bulldogs and turned three rebounds into six points on putbacks.
Torri Whitman added a jumper while Taylor hit a layup for Boyd to make it 8-4 going into the fourth quarter.
MaKenna Mason, who scored 19 points in Eastside’s first tournament game, finally snapped her scoreless streak in the fourth quarter.
Mason slashed to the basket for two layups as the Lady Bulldogs got all the offense the team needed to win.
Boyd had multiple shots go in-and-out in the final quarter, but never had one fall. In the end, Taylor’s two made shots were the points for the Lady Broncos.
Parsley led the Lady Bulldogs with six points. Mason followed with four while Whitman rounded out the scoring with two.
