In a photo finish, the Lady Tigers defeated Centertown’s Lady Warriors, 25-24, at Irving College on Thursday night in 7-8 grade basketball action.Tied at 15 after three quarters, both teams went into the fourth quarter hoping for the win. That’s when Irving College got serious about working inside the paint and came away with a 1-point advantage and the ball game.Despite the Lady Warriors doubling the percentages at the charity stripe with 8-of-12 shooting for 66 percent, Centertown couldn’t pull out a win. Irving College went 2-of-6 from the foul line, 33 percent, but made the inside shot count.
