Aaron Templeton picked the perfect time to catch fire from deep for the Pioneers.

Templeton scorched the net for 14 points, including four triples, as the Pioneers beat Lincoln County 53-42 in the District 9-4A tournament consolation game.

Deashawn Adams added 10 points for the Pioneers, while Treyton Terry guided the offense with seven points and seven assists. Warren County picked up its 16th win during the contest, matching last year's mark.

The Pioneers started hot against the Falcons, making its first four 3-pointers to build a 14-4 lead. Templeton hit three from deep during the spurt, starting with a deep shot from the right wing. Dylan Stepp added one from  the top of the key and added a driving floater during the run.

Warren County held the lead the rest of the way, with Lincoln County never closing the gap below seven points in the second half.

For his efforts in the district tournament, which also included a win over Spring Hill last week, Templeton was named all-tournament.
